Since becoming an approved member of the Department For Constitutional Affairs’ Tape Transcription Panel we are authorised to transcribe court hearings and judgments. We supply an efficient verbatim transcription service. All transcripts are completed by very experienced transcribers who have full access to support materials to ensure complete accuracy. Transcripts are then checked before they are sent back to you (judgments are required to be sent back to the presiding judge for approval before being submitted to yourself). For fast turnarounds or where postal delivery of transcripts is not possible transcripts can be sent electronically via our secure FTP site.
Although the contracted turnaround is 15 working days from receipt of work, we can readily supply your transcription requirements sooner than this without compromising on quality.
Confidentiality is one of our top priorities and we have undergone extensive checks in order to be accepted as a Tape Transcription Panel Member. To ensure the accurate transcription of judicial matters we use a very select number of our transcribers who we authorise to have access to recordings, upon successful completion of stringent checks.
If you require a transcript, or a copy of a transcript, of a hearing or a judgment, you will need to make a request to the court at which the case was heard using an EX107 form. Simply click on the link for the form at the bottom of this page.
Return the completed form to the relevant court as well as ourselves. This can be emailed to us at
office@thetranscriptionagency.com, faxed on 01303 230048 or posted to:

We shall then receive the tapes directly from the court and we will contact you to advise that we have them. We will require a small deposit at this stage after which we can start to transcribe the tapes within hours.
