The Transcription Agency offers work from home transcribing audio recordings. We offer a verbatim transcription service to our clients, which means that their recordings are typed word for word. Therefore it is essential that all transcribers have excellent listening skills as well as good keyboard skills. Documents are usually on Microsoft Word, so you will need to have this installed on your PC.

Email is the preferred method of communication with The Transcription Agency: for us to book work with you and for you to return transcriptions.

Recordings are frequently received from clients as digital sound files, so you will need to have the relevant program installed in order to be able to hear the recordings. This will be discussed with you individually.

The type of work that The Transcription Agency offers is varied and interesting. You can work transcribing English sound files, or if you are completely fluent in a language besides English we may be able to offer you translation work.

We are looking for people who have a very good level of English, who are conscientious, reliable, have a mature and professional approach to work, enjoy doing a job to a 100% standard and can work to tight deadlines.

In return we offer a flexible level of work, from a few hours per week to full time. We find this appeals to people who have other commitments such as family or another part time job.
